Bhubaneswar: Today’s afternoon rain in the smart city has proved to be a boon as well as a bane. While the downpour provided some much needed relief from the heat, Bhubaneswar’s Nayapalli area was almost submerged in water. The rain caused water logging in the area and the road in front of ISKCON temple was flooded. Cars and autos parked in the road were not able to move because the wheels were completely under water.

Two years ago, Bhubaneswar had topped the Smart City list however the roads still do not have efficient water drainage system.
