**Bhubaneswar: ** Mayurbhanj Branch OPTCL DGM Jasowanta Narayan Choudhury was arrested by Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday while accepting Rs 3000 bribe and also conducted raids on his houses in Baripada and Bhubaneswar.
The Vigilance sleuths also on the day pounced down on Balasore RTO and Buguda Forest Ranger for allegations of possession of disproportionate assets.
As per Vigilance sources, the Deputy General Manager, EHT (O&M) Division, Baripada, Mayurbhanj has been trapped for accepting bribe of Rs 3000 from complainant Kartikeswar Dutta to pass the hire charges of his Bolero which was engaged in the Division office, Baripada.
Vigilance also on the same day raided five places associated with Buguda Forest Ranger Prasanna Sahu on charges of amassing disproportionate assets in Ganjam district.
Similarly on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Amaresh Patra, RTO, Balasore, searches are being conducted today in his rented house at Balasore, RTO office, Balasore, flat at Madhusudan Nagar, Bhubaneswar, parental house at Rampei, Rajnagar, Kendrapara, father-in-law’s house at Kuleilo, Khuntini, house of brother-in-law at Kalinga Chowk, Choudwar, Saraswata filling station, Choudwar and Odiene Hotel, Khuntini.
