**Bhubaneswar:** The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated stringent action against eight teachers of Bhubaneswar schools for alleged errors in evaluating Class XII examination papers.
Around 130 teachers and co-ordinators from across the country have been identified following the complaints of the students who appeared the Class XII examination this year.
Reliable sources have revealed that the process has just been initiated, and the names have been sent to New Delhi. The suspension will be done by the respective schools.
The highest number of erring teachers and co-ordinators has been reported from Patna, with a number of 45. It is followed by 27 from Dehradun, 14 from Chennai, 11 from Allahabad, 8 each from Bhubaneswar, Ajmer and Panchkula, 6 from Delhi, 2 from Guwahati, and one from Trivandrum.
The CBSE Class 12 result for the academic year of 2017-18 was announced on May 26. There was a re-examination scheduled for the Economics paper on April 27 due to question paper leak allegation.
The evaluation process of the CBSE in Class X and XII have come under scrutiny after there were some major fallacies experienced by the students in their mark sheets. The students and their parents even protested countrywide alleging faulty evaluation.
