Bhubaneswar: In the first Cabinet expansion of Modi 2.0 regime, two new faces from Odisha are likely to feature in the list which will be announced by today evening.
According to reports, Rajya Sabha Member from Odisha, Ashwini Vaishnav and Mayurbhanj MP Bishweswar Tudu are very likely to get a berth in the Union Ministry.
A meeting of the Union Cabinet was called at 11 am today to deliberate on the expansion. Both Tudu and Vaishnav have met Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the meeting, said sources.
Meanwhile, Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi has resigned from his Ministerial post today indicating his ouster from the Cabinet. The first-time MP, Sarangi, was sworn-in as a Minister of State for MSME and Fisheries.
A major announcement on the Cabinet rejig is expected to be done around 6 pm today evening, sources added.
