Bhubaneswar: The regional office of Indian Meteorological Office (IMD) on Thursday predicted thunder squall accompanied with rain at one or two places of coastal Odisha.
According to a bulletin released by the Meteorological department, districts like Angul, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Rayagada are likely to receive rain with a wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph.
The rest part of Odisha is likely to remain dry, the bulletin added.
Strong and gusty surface wind speed reaching 35-45 kmph gusting 55 kmph likely to prevail along and off Odisha coast and fishermen have been advised to be cautious while venturing into sea.
On Thursday, the highest maximum temperature of 44 degree Celsius was recorded at Balangir and Sundergarh recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19 degree Celsius.
