Odisha: 5 Injured After Car Hits Truck In Balasore

Balasore: Five persons were critically injured in a road mishap that occurred at Kundapur under Basta police limits here today morning.

The incident took place on the National Highway 60 when a speeding car hit a stationary truck from rear and got smashed, thus injuring the people inside it.

The five injured persons are Gobinda Bera (38), Barun Bera (23), Utpal Adhikari (40), Ajit Ghosh (38) and Samir Sahu (55).

The injured persons were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.

According to sources, the car was on its way back from West Bengal’s Belda area to Bhubaneswar when the mishap occurred at Kundapur.

Basta police reached the spot and seized the Indica car bearing registration number WB 20H 4074.

Further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
