Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police on Tuesday arrested the fifth accused named in the FIR pertaining to ransacking of IAS officer VK Pandian's house.

Two cases are registered in this connection which includes abduction of a police officer on duty. So far seven persons have been "arrested or apprehended," Police Commissioner YB Khurania said.

"Four of them are in judicial custody and one accused will be forwarded to the court today. Two juveniles involved in the attack were produced before the appropriate Board on Monday," Khurania said.

Meanwhile security has been beefed up at sensitive locations apprehending law and order situation. "Investigation is on and all other involved in the case will be nabbed soon," the Police Commissioner added.
