Bhubaneswar: Hearing in casting couch case against Ollywood comedian Tatwa Prakash Satpathy alias Papu Pom Pom was deferred on Monday as none of the witnesses appeared before court.

A special court was supposed to hear the much talked about case today.

“The court had issued summon to four witnesses. Three witnesses including victim and her family were not present today as they had changed their home address. Hearing of the trial has been adjourned to some other date,” Debasnana Dash, lawyer, said.

Child Welfare Committee (CWC) member Nirupama Ratha who had brought the allegations against the actor was directed to appear before the court for the hearing.

She, however, said she is yet to get any summon.

“If I had ever got the summon, then I was the first person to appear before the court. I have enough faith in the court in this matter,” said the CWC member.

Notably, Papu Pom Pom was accused of exploiting a minor girl on pretext of giving her a break. The girl had levelled allegation against the actor in June last year.

The actor was charged under different sections of IPC and POCSO Act.
