Paradip: Four persons were critically injured after a youth attacked them with a knife for laughing at him when he fell off his bike while performing a stunt at Paradip sea beach on Thursday.

Reportedly, three youths under the influence of alcohol were performing stunts on an Apache bike at Paradip sea beach when the stunt went wrong and they fell on the ground.

On seeing this, four persons touring the beach laughed at the fallen youth. A scuffle ensued between the two groups when a youth performing the stunt attacked the four with a knife.

The four injured persons were identified as Nikas Gochhayat, Satyajit Sahu, Kiran Das and Saroj Patra, all residents of Paradip.

While they are admitted at Port Trust Hospital, the youth who assaulted them is absconding.
