Rayagada: A youth has been arrested for abduction and rape of a college girl at Jhigidi village under Bissamcuttack block of Rayagada district.
Reportedly on September 8, the girl was waiting for a bus at Dukum square in Bissamcuttack when the accused Kanha Misal offered her a lift. However, instead of dropping her home, he took her to a nearby forest and raped her.
It was after she lodged a complaint at Gudari police station, the accused was arrested from his residence at Asada village under Gudari block of the district.
