Bhubaneswar: Padmini Dian is one of the two women ministers in Naveen Patnaik's 19-member Council of Ministers.

Dian, 32, is an agriculturist. She holds the distinction of being appointed as a minister in her maiden stint as an MLA. She has been elected to the Odisha Assembly from Kotapad Assembly constituency in the tribal heartland of Koraput.

Dian is the sister of BJD leader Manohar Randhari who was re-elected from Dabugaon Assembly seat this time. The young woman Minister's husband works with the Odisha Police.
