Bhubaneswar: A businesswoman and her brother-in-law were looted of Rs 75,000 cash and gold ornaments on Kargil Road in Pokhariput area of the State Capital in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Reportedly, three bike borne miscreants attacked Subhadra Nayak, a mobile shop owner, when she and her brother-in-law Nandan were on their way to Master Canteen square.

The miscreants first kicked the scooter the two were travelling on. After they fell down the miscreants snatched the cash bag and jewellery from them by brandishing sharp weapons.

Meanwhile, Subhadra and Nandan have been admitted to Capital Hospital as both of them have sustained severe injuries in the attack. A case in this regard has also been lodged at Airfield Police Station.

As per latest reports, police have seized CCTV footage of the incident, based on which it has launched a probe and has assured to nab the culprits at the earliest.
