Bhubaneswar: The winter chill prevailed in the State with six places in Odisha recording temperature below 10 degree Celsius. Phulbani in Kandhamal district shivered with lowest temperature 7.3 degrees, whereas Angul recorded lowest temperature of 8.6 degrees Celsius followed by Koraput (9 degrees), Sonepur (9.5), Daringibadi (9.6) and Bhawanipatna (9.8).
However, the capital city of Bhubaneswar recorded lowest temperature of 12.8 degree Celsius and Cuttack recorded 11.8 degree Celsius.
The dense foggy conditions that have been prevailing in the State over the past couple of days have put several lives on danger by causing poor visibility and subsequent road accidents.
As many as six people were killed and were several others sustained critical injuries in three separate road mishaps that were reported this morning from across the State.
