Bhadrak: The sight of a rare albino snake is drawing big crowds at the residence of one Jogesh Dash of Panchapada village under Chandabali Notified Area Council (NAC) limits in Bhadrak district in Odisha.
According to local sources, the albino reptile measuring about 3.5-feet was rescued from Dash's garden on Friday evening.
Family members of Dash had got panicked on discovering an albino snake in their bathroom. Later, Dash rescued the snake from his garden without harming it and has kept it in a glass jar since then, sources added.
Albinism is extremely rare in reptiles. The genetic trait causes an absence of pigments, turning animals pale.
Though Ommcom News tried to contact DFO (Wild Life) Bhadrak over phone for his comments on the rescue of the reptile, he did not respond to the call.
