VSSUT Ragging Case: 10 Students Debarred From Appearing Exams For 1 Year

Sambalpur: In connection with the case of ragging which surfaced in VSSUT Burla, the varsity authorities have sprung into action.

Soon after the videos of ‘ragging' surfaced on media, the Disciplinary Committee of VSSUT called an urgent meeting today evening.

According to a press note issued by the university, ten students (found involved) have been debarred from appearing the examinations for one year.

"During investigation it was observed that 52 boarders voluntered to be accused with the above mentioned identified boarders," the note stated.

The Committee decided to penalise all 52 students with a fine of Rs 2,000 each with immediate effect.
