Two More COVID-19 Positive Cases In Bhubaneswar, Odisha Tally Rises To 23

Bhubaneswar: Two more COVID-19 positive patients have been identified in Bhubaneswar today.

The information was shared by the Health and Family Welfare Department which stated that one of them is a 70-year-old male from Kalpila Prasad while the other coronavirus patient is a 29-year old male from Bomikhal area.

The H&FW Department Tweeted:

"Two more COVID POSITIVE cases in Bhubaneswar. One 70 years old male of Kapila Prasad Housing Board Colony Phase II who had returned from Australia on 22.3.2020 (home quarantine case).

Another, one 29 years old male from Bomikhal found out during active surveillance."

With the two new cases, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Odisha has risen to 23. So far 15 persons in the State Capital have tested positive for coronavirus.

In Odisha, two persons have been discharged from the hospitals after recovering from the disease completely. Both of them belong to Bhubaneswar and were the first and second COVID-19 patients of the State respectively.

Till 12 noon today (April 5, 2019), 1,699 samples have been tested in Odisha so far. Apart from Bhubaneswar, the other COVID-19 positives are:

One each from Puri, Cuttack, Kalahandi and Jajpur and 3 from Bhadrak. Currently, 75 persons are under Hospital Isolation today in different hospitals, the Health and Family Welfare Department added.
