Two Girls Jump From Moving Train In Jharsuguda

16 December 2019

Jharsuguda: Two girls are reportedly critical after jumping from a moving train at Bagdehi railway station in Jharsuguda district on Monday. While one of them has severely hurt her legs, the other has sustained critical injuries on her head.

The duo identified as Dhanmati Majhi and Jyotsna Nayak jumped from Puri-Nizamuddin Utkal Express when the train was passing through Bagdehi railway station. They were found on the tracks by locals after the train left the station.

Following it, social activists and railway employees rushed them to Bagedhi Primary Health Centre (CHC) from where they were shifted to Jharsuguda district headquarters hospital (DHH). As both of them are unconscious they were again referred to VIMSAR in Burla.

Railway authorities were able to establish their identities after contacting their relatives through the phones found from them. However, the reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
