Tragedy After Celebration: Several Holi Revellers Drowned In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The festival of colours heralding summer was celebrated across the State on Monday even as four persons were killed in various incidents of drowning, officials said.

The Holi revelers either minors or youngsters met watery grave while taking bath after playing Holi.

According to reports, two minor boys were drowned in a pond at Patkura In Kendrapara. The deceased have been identified as Niranjan Nayak (12) of Basudeipur and Deepak Sutar (12) of Chanpur village.

Similarly, a 9-year-old minor boy drowned while taking bath along with three of his friends in Hansipatna village in Balasore district.

In Bhubaneswar also, a minor boy died after drowning at a pond at GGP Colony in Rasulgarh area.
