Students Thrash Teachers Over Alleged Illicit Relation, Lock School Demanding Action

Balasore: The hostel Superintendent and the Principal of Hasinapur Balika Sevashram were thrashed, dragged out of the school for allegedly having illicit relation and the school was locked by the students and their parents. The incident occurred in Gopinath panchayat of Balasore district on Saturday morning.

The students alleged that there was illicit relationship in between the hostel Superintendent Sabita Biswal and Principal Rajiv Lochan. They further accuse the two of forcing the students to do their chores and absolute mismanagement of the school and the hostel. The girls allege that all this affected their studies and the overall aura of the school.

Fed up of the foul atmosphere, the 160 students of the school had been protesting outside the school since today morning. Even three hours later when no action was taken, the students and their guardians retorted to violence. They dragged the accused duo out of school and thrashed them.

In the meantime, District Child Protection Unit’s officer arrived at the school and rescued the teachers. They were handed over to the Police pending inquiry.
