Student Police Cadets Trained On Road Safety Measures In Cuttack

Cuttack: As part of the Student Police Cadet (SPC) programme, many High School students were on Monday imparted basic training on different aspects of Road Safety and related measures at the Traffic Police Station in Madhupatna, Cuttack.

The students were personally guided by Traffic ACP Debajyoti Dash. The lecture included a presentation on Traffic Policing, its role, nature and responsibilities, which also includes event management and VIP security.

SPC Anuradha Nayak from Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Cuttack, said, "Around 1.2 million people are dying every year in road accidents, which is a major problem. Therefore, we must wear helmets and use seat belts to put a check on the death rate."
