Stray Dogs Maul Seven-Year-Old To Death In Odisha's Baripada

Baripada: In a heart-wrenching incident at Jashipur, a seven-year-old boy was mauled to death by stray dogs on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Rinku Maharana, son of Sarma Maharana of Balisudura village under Jamukeswar panchayat.

The mishap occurred when Rinku was going to the local Government upper primary school, where he was a student of Standard I.

At an isolated spot in a farm, Rinku was attacked by a group of stray dogs which mauled and injured him fatally. The seven-year-old sustained serious abdominal injuries. he died on the spot.

A team from Jashipur police station rushed to the spot and conducted preliminary inquiry. The body of the deceased has been sent for autopsy and a case of unnatural death registered.
