State-Wide Blood Donation Camps On 74th Birth Anniversary Of Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar: The BJD has planned to organise several blood donation camps across Odisha under its ‘Jeevan Bindu’ programme on the occasion of 74th birth anniversary of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on October 16.

Chief coordinator of ‘Jeevan Bindu’ programme, Debasish Samantaray, informed that besides fulfilling the capacity of around 59 blood banks in the State, the effort will be to collect a record of over 10,000 units of blood on a single day.

Around 3.08 lakh units of blood have been collected in last three years under the ‘Jeevan Bindu’ programme, which aims to fulfill the objective of Patnaik to make blood accessible to all free of cost, said Samantaray.
