Bhubaneswar: As the Election Commission official gear up to conduct phase III polls in Odisha, the polling parties, electronic voting machines (EVMs) and VVPATs have been despatched to booths. 

On April 23 (Tuesday), elections will be held in six Lok Sabha constituencies of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Sambalpur, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal and 42 Assembly segments.

The EVMs and VVPATs have been sent to five Assembly segments under Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituency from the BJB College strongroom. The machines will be sent to all booths in the village areas amid tight security. The machines will be sent to the Notified Area Councils and municipalities by Monday, the officials said.

Web-casting will take place in 18 booths. As many as 56 CCTV cameras will be installed and video shooting will take place in 25 booths. As campaigning will come to end today evening, political parties and candidates intensified their campaigns throughout the day.
