Stage Set For 3-Day Odisha Senior Police Officers’ Conference, Stress Laid On Cyber Crime Investigation

Bhubaneswar: The three-day-long Senior Police Officers’ Conference of Odisha Police has been slated to be held from tomorrow here at the capital city.

Briefing media, Odisha DGP R.P. Sharma said, “The conference will be for three days. In this Senior Police Officers’ Conference, generally the law and order situation of the State, crime scenario, control of crime will be discussed. Besides the agenda has also specific issues for discussions.”

He informed, “Cyber Crime investigation, role of leadership in police, social media monitoring, LWE present situation and what is the way forward, etc are the important issues to be discussed at the conference.”

He also informed, “We will also discuss on the learning experienced during the organization of recent mega events in Odisha. We will also discuss how to make such type of arrangements in future mega events. Also we will discuss on the mass agitation how to tackle it.”

He added, “Our police officers will have their presentations. We have also invited expert speakers from outside, especially on Cyber Crime investigation, Social Media monitoring, role of leadership in police organizational transformation, etc. A special session has been there on Cyber Crime Investigation.”
