Bhubaneswar: After nabbing two criminals in Sunday morning encounter, the Commissionerate Police raided their flat near Dhauli and seized huge quantity of foreign spurious liquor.

"On July 30, a car showroom owner was attacked and Rs 2 lakh was stolen. The two criminals nabbed in today's encounter were involved in that case. The anti-social elements had taken shelter in an apartment at Dhauli which was later raided by us. Spirit, bottles and labels were seized from the flat," informed Deputy Commissioner of Police Anup Sahoo.

"We will be interrogating the owner of the flat to find out more details. We will also be asking other people who are living in that apartment about the duo's activity. The cops have also been asked to intensify patrolling in outskirt areas," he added.

Notably on July 30, four armed robberies had created panic in Bhubaneswar. On August 3, Commissionerate Police successfully nabbed four criminals in two encounters within 24 hours.
