Puri: Odisha Fire Services personnel on Saturday rescued a spotted deer from drowning in Puri sea beach and handed it over to forest department officials.
As per sources, deer from Balukhand-Konark Wildlife Sanctuary had arrived to Penthakota beach in search of food. While treading near GM Law College they saw people and started to run hither and thither.
It was when a deer was pulled into the sea by a tide. On getting information lifeguards of Odisha Fire Services reach at the spot and rescued the animal.
