Six Rock Pythons Rescued From Canal In Odisha's Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: The Snake Helpline members of the district rescued as many as six snakes from canal at Badabandha area of Saptasajya block today. These were rock python snakes measuring up to 18 feet in length. The snakes were spotted inside a cavity near the canal.

Locals informed the snake helpline members who rescued the snakes after working together for more than three days. There was great excitement among the villagers to catch a glimpse of these large snakes. The Forest Department staff said that the snakes have been released into the Saptasajya jungle.
