Bhubaneswar: A shopkeeper was looted while he was at his shop in Aiginia area here on Saturday. The incident took place when the shopkeeper was preparing to shut the shop at around 10:30 pm.

According to CCTV visuals, two to three youths came on a motorcycle and parked the two-wheeler outside the shop. One of the miscreants barged into the shop with a firearm and threatened the shop owner.

The trio fled from the spot after looting the shopkeeper. Police have recorded the statement of the victim and started a probe.

The entire activity was recorded on the CCTV camera. DCP Anup Sahoo said that Khandagiri police have registered in this connection and started investigation into the matter.

The shop owner Harman Behera said that he was being followed by the miscreants from a couple of days prior to the crime. "My brother-in-law sleeps at the shop after I shut it at night. The incident took place within minutes after I left the location."
