Severe Thunderstorm Likely In Odisha On Feb 27 & 28: Met

Bhubaneswar: India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s Bhubaneswar Centre today predicted that there would be severe thunderstorm activity during February 26 and February 27.

According to the Met Centre’s special bulletin issued, “Light to moderate rain or thundershower likely to occur at a few places over the districts of north Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of south Odisha.”

On Febraury 28 also the weather forecast goes, “Light rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha and dry weather likely to prevail over rest districts of Odisha.”

The special bulletin has also warning for the fishermen of Odisha coast. It has warned, “Strong surface wind speed reaching 25-35 kmph gusting to 45 kmph likely along and off Odisha coast and north-west Bay of Bengal areas during next 48 hours.”

“Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea in coastal Odisha and north-west Bay of Bengal during next 48 hours,” warns the Met Centre Special Bulletin.
