Bhubaneswar: Simplicity, humility, discipline, and self-belief are the determining factors in the path to success. Students should emulate traits of tall leaders of the society and practice their teachings in life to scale heights, Minister of State for Home Department Dibya Shankar Mishra said today.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of SAITED 2019 at SAI International School campus here, Mishra urged students to inculcate two important traits of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik - simplicity and humility.
SAITED encompasses a wide gamut of events like SAITED Talk, MED Talk, TED Q, Tech Fair, various Workshops, several activities and games based on Science and Technology. Companies like FEDCO, SPARC Pvt Ltd, Batoi as well as Institutes like CV Raman and Institute of Life Science showcased their innovations in the tech fair.
SAI International School Founder, Bijay Sahoo outlined the objective of SAITED and said that the event aims to develop an inclination for Science and Technology in the students and also plant the seed of entrepreneurship in each child. Students from schools across the state participated in the event.
Sensocap for visually impaired people, Smart wheelchair for deaf, dumb and other physically disabled people, Smart goggles for the blind, Hydraulic system for traffic management, earthquake detection system, LPG leak detection, Smoke absorber and many more innovative ideas were showcased by students from various schools of Odisha in SAITED.
On the occasion, students from Shri Harsha School for the Deaf were also invited. The concluding show was presented by stand-up comedian Aakash Gupta. Among others, Senior Advisor Analysys Mason, Sandip Das and vice-chairperson SAI International, Silpi Sahoo attended the event.
