SAI International School's 'UNWIND 2019' Celebrated Amid Pomp And Cheer

Bhubaneswar: Education system should have space to accommodate the needs and aspirations of each child. The students today should walk the extra mile to reach excellence in life and not be contented with success, said R Balakrishnan, Chief Advisor to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Balakrishnan was addressing students of SAI International School on the occasion of the institution's annual fest - Unwind 2019.

"Briefing the assemblage on the difference between normal education and value-based education, Balakrishnan said that such events prepare students for the real world," said Balakrishnan after inaugurating SAI International School's annual fest.

Speaking on the occasion, School and Mass Education Department Secretary, Chithra Arumugam said that ‘Learn’ stands for constructing knowledge to communicate, ‘Lead’ indicates to go and shine wherever one is and ‘Serve’ means giving back to the world, which is the best part of a person. She advised the students to have the courage to be true to their own self and stay connected with their inner self.

Addressing students and teachers at the event, Founder of SAI International School, Bijay Sahoo outlined the objective of UNWIND. "It gives the students an opportunity to learn through an event, which would instill in them the essential qualities of a leader helping them beyond their school years," Sahoo said.

More than 25,000 people including students and parents attended the event. A gamut of exciting games and rides, a wide array of delectable cuisines, foot tapping musical performances and the versatility of the students left the guests spellbound.

As part of the Social Connect Activities, students of Swami Bichitrananda Kalyan Ashram, Cuttack, considered as the oldest Orphanage of Independent India, visited the event along with their teachers. The students had a wonderful time playing the various games. They gave a brilliant dance performance which was loved by the assemblage.

The Holistic Parenting Award was presented to the parents of State Topper, Commerce, Khusi Gupta. The winners of Business Model Competition 2019 were also awarded on the occasion.
