Rourkela Smart City Ltd To Hold City Fests

Rourkela: City Level advisory forum (CLAF) meeting of Rourkela Smart City Limited was held at the City Auditorium today. The CEO of Rourkela Smart City Limited Smt. Rashmita Panda briefed the gathering about developments with regard to various public welfare projects and also informed about the preparations for carrying out other projects in the future.

The members of the forum suggested to organize a City Festival in Rourkela like other major cities. As Rourkela is known as mini India for its diversified culture, the members of the forum suggested that the City Festival must include the art and culture of different states.

They also suggested to involve city youth and students for successful organization of this event. It was discussed to organize the event in the last week of January 2019. The CEO of Rourkela Smart City Limited welcomed the suggestion of the members of the forum and told that a decision in this regard will be taken after due dialogue with all stakeholders.

Key denizens; like community leaders, educationists, technocrats from NIT-Rourkela & BPUT, sports personalities, developers, representatives of chamber of commerce and Government officers shared their views in the meeting. MLA, Rajgangpur Mangala Kishan, Chairman of Rourkela Development Authority Sarada Prasad Nayak and the Chairman of Special Development Council Santosh Amat were also present in the meeting.
