Robbers' Gang Busted, 4 Held In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of Police on Monday busted a gang of robbers with the arrest of four notorious criminals from outskirts of the city.

The gang was involved ina series of thefts in Khandagiri, Tamando and Airfield area of the city in the past one month.

The accused have been identified as Ganesh Prusty alias Satya Singh of Balasore, Sk Sadam Hussain of Delanga in Puri district, Balaram Nayak of Balianta and Pradip Sahu of Bolagada in Khurda district.

The gang used to rob luxury four-wheelers and expensive bikes from the houses where they committed theft.

The police have recovered one mouser with three rounds of live ammunition, two four-wheelers, four two-wheelers, 150 gram gold ornaments, five LCD TVs and a laptop from their possession.

There are more than half dozen cases registered against this gang in different police stations at Bhubaneswar, Puri and Khurda, the police said.
