Bhubaneswar: Beauty with brains, Sheetal Sahu of Rayagada was crowned Femina Miss India Odisha 2019 last night in Kolkata. She qualified for the title beating two other contestants from Odisha- Tamannah Vyas and Arupa Rath.
All winners of East Zone, who were announced on April 23, took part in a glitzy ceremony in Kolkata. Finalists of 13 states, namely Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim, Assam, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and West Bengal were in the ceremony to qualify for the prestigious Femina Miss India 2019.
Reportedly, Sheetal is a software engineer by profession and was born in Gunupur of Rayagada district. She was working in Mumbai before participating in the Miss India contest. Coming from a humble background, her parents have always supported her in her endeavors. Sheetal, who remained true to herself in all the rounds, was nervous before the judges Rituparna Sen Gupta, Esha Gupta and East Zone mentor Neha Dhupia, announced her name.
Sheetal is looking forward to June 15 to stake her claim for the Miss India 2019 crown at Mumbai’s grand finale event.
