Bhubaneswar: Thousands of BJD workers from Rajnagar Assembly Constituency in Kendrapara district staged demonstration in front of the Naveen Niwas here today opposing the candidature of Dhurba Charan Sahoo for the assembly seat.

The agitators alleged that Dhurba has been indulged in corruption and other criminal activities and demanded that BJD supremo-cum-Chief Minister should reconsider the decision and replace him with any other leader of Rajnagar.

"We assure to support any person sent by Naveen Babu and would fetch victory for the candidate and hope that Naveen Babu changes the candidate," said a member of Biju Yuva Janata Dal, Debasish Patra.
