Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm will be experienced across several districts of Odisha due to a cyclonic circulation over east Uttar Pradesh said Regional Met Department Director HR Biswas.
For February 25, all districts north Odisha will witness light to moderate with districts of Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, and Deogarh witnessing heavy rainfall.
Rainfall in interior districts will cease around late at night. After 24 hours, i.e. on February 26, a few places of coastal districts along with Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj district will witness heavy rainfall till tomorrow afternoon. Scattered rainfall will be seen in districts of Sundergarh, Rayagada, Koraput, Boudh, Kandhamal, Koraput, Angul, and Dhenkanal. Rest of Odisha is expected to be dry.
With reduction in the effect of the cyclonic circulation, rainfall will too cease from February 27 onwards.
“While there will be no change in night temperature, the day temperature is likely to be below normal by 3-5 degree Centigrade over the districts of north Odisha and by 2-3 degree Centigrade over the districts of south Odisha during next 2-3 days. A few districts will witness fog,” said Biswas.
