Rain, Thundershowers Likely To Lash Odisha In Next 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds is likely to occur at most districts of Odisha in the next 24 hours, informed Director of the Regional Office of India Meteorological Department (IMD), HR Biswas, on Monday.

As per a bulletin released by the IMD, light to moderate rain or thunder-shower likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsingpur, Puri and Ganjam.

Likewise, light rain or thunder-shower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul, Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati and Koraput.

The IMD has also issued a warning that thunderstorm with gusty wind and lightning likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Jagatsingpur, Puri, Khurda, Ganjam, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Nayagarh.

Biswas informed that most of the districts in Odisha will experience dry weather from tomorrow onwards as there is no large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during next 2-3 days.
