Bhubaneswar: While AICC president Rahul Gandhi is slated to visit Odisha on coming Friday (January 25) and address public rally here in the State capital city as the forthcoming general elections are a few months ahead, he has decided to visit Odisha every month till the polls.

This was revealed by AICC’s Odisha-in-charge Jitendra Singh today.

Talking to media at the airport here, Singh said, “Whole Odisha knows as well as the Congressmen that Rahul Gandhiji is visiting here to attend public rally and also meet the party workers. There are also other programmes.”

He added, “Apart from this, the family of Rahulji has been having a special bond with Odisha since long. Their heart dwells in Odisha while the tribals and the poor populace of this State find a place in the heart of the family. Hence, the family thinks for them and also enquires about their conditions.”

“The ensuing tour of Rahulji to Odisha is the first one in the present itinerary. But, his tour to Odisha has been slated for each month till the next three months,” Jitendra Singh informed.
