Puri Jagannath Temple Interior Photos Go Viral Again, Bengaluru Girl In Trouble

04 November 2018

Puri: Despite a ban, pictures of Srimandir once again went viral on social media thereby exposing the poor security measures at the 12th century shrine. This time, a Bengaluru girl posted the picture of the temple premises on her Facebook wall making it viral.

The photographs were posted at 3 pm in the afternoon of Saturday (November 3) from the Facebook account of one Bengaluru-based girl, who is working as a cabin crew member of a reputed domestic airline.

The photos are taken from Anand Bazaar and have the ‘Bhoga mandap’ and ‘Nata mandap’ in frame. It is worth mentioning that carrying of cameras and video recording devices inside the temple is prohibited.

It clearly shows the authorities’ callous attitude in maintaining adequate and strict measures to prevent such incidents, even several such incidents have come to the forefront in the past few years.

Notably, few days back eight youths were held by the cops for flying a drone camera for a short film in the restricted zone of the temple. Similarly, a cop was also suspended for posting pictures of ‘Baisi Pahacha’ (22 steps) while offering Mahalaya ‘shradhha’.
