President Kovind Arrives In Odisha

Bhubaneswar / Berhampur: President Ramnath Kovind, who arrived here this afternoon on a two-day visit to Odisha was accorded a warm welcome at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) by Governor Ganeshi Lal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Pratap Sarangi, Director General of Police B K Sharma and other top officials of the State also welcomed Kovind at the airport.

The President immediately after his arrival at BPIA left for Gopalpur in Ganjam district by IAF chopper.

According to reports, after his arrival at Rangeilunda airstrip Kovind left for the Army Air Defence College at Gopalpur.

The President will spend the night at the Presidential Suite of the Army Air Defence College.

Next morning (Saturday) tentatively at 8.00 AM India's first citizen will hand over the prestigious President’s Colours award to the Corps of Army Air Defence at the function following which he will leave for Bhubaneswar and after a brief stopover at the Raj Bhawan he will fly back to Delhi, said an official.
