Pratap Sarangi Assumes Charge As MSME MoS

04 June 2019

Bhubaneswar: Balasore Member of Parliament (MP) Pratap Chandra Sarangi today formally took charge as the Union Minister of State (MoS) for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) at the national capital New Delhi.

As per media reports, Sarangi assumed office along with his senior colleague Nitin Gadkari. Gadkari also formally took charge today as the Cabinet Minister of MSME.

Notably, Pratap Sarangi is the only newly-elected MP from Odisha with ministerial portfolios in the Union Government of PM Modi’s second stint. Even though Dharmendra Pradhan retains his same ministerial berth of Petroleum and Natural Gas, he is a Rajya Sabha member from Madhya Pradesh quota.
