Post-Election Violence: Bombs Hurled At House Of BJP's Pipili Candidate

Puri: In an incident of post-election violence, unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at the house of Bharatiya Janata Party's Pipili Assembly candidate Ashrit Patnaik at Kamakantia under Balanga police limits here late on Friday night.

Reportedly, some bike-borne miscreants fled the spot after hurling bombs at the BJP leader's house. While Ashrit and his family escaped unhurt, the main gate of the house has been damaged in the incident.

On intimation, cops reached the spot and began a probe into the matter.

It is notable to mention here that the Ashrit Patnaik lost the Pipili Assembly constituency to Biju Janata Dal candidate Pradeep Maharathy.
