Polling Officer Dies On Way To Duty In Odisha's Balasore

Balasore: A polling officer posted at Ajodhya village in Nilgiri assembly segment of Balasore Lok Sabha constituency died on his way to duty on Saturday.

Reportedly, the deceased identified as Purnachandra Panda was on the way to the polling station in a bus when he suddenly lost senses. He was immediately rushed to Balasore district headquarters hospital (DHH) where doctor declared him dead.

Panda was a Grade IV employee at Barabati Girls High School in Balasore. It is suspected that he died of sun-stroke.
