Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate of Police on Tuesday arrested two prime accused in the case of attack on police personnel which took place two days back at Saheed Nagar police station.

The duo has been identified as Amit Jena (25) of Bapujinagar and Sibananda Nath (30) of VSS Nagar. Both of them were involved in attacking police officials including Saheed Nagar IIC on Sunday night.

Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty said that three teams have been formed to apprehend others involved in the attack. The teams are conducting raids at various places to nab the attackers.

Four police personnel had sustained injuries after a dozen miscreants attacked the cops, including the IIC and ASI, during night. The miscreants first attacked three persons who were detained at the police station in a road accident case. The cops also faced the wrath of the goons as they tried to intervene.

The assailants also ransacked the police station by vandalizing furniture, CCTV cameras, TV set and flower pots.
