Police Seizes Rs 81.50 Lakh Cash From Gold Merchants In Cuttack

Cuttack: Badambadi police on Satuday recovered Rs 81.50 lakh in cash from two businessmen who were on their way to Midnapore in West Bengal. The duo reside in Dargha Bazar area of Cuttack and are professional gold traders.

Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty said that the two were trying to evade income tax and siphon the money to their native in Midnapore district.

Badambadi police have detained the businessmen in question and referred the case to the Income Tax department.
