Bhubaneswar: Coming down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s today speech in which he spit venom directly on BJD supremo-cum-Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the party today dubbed it as BJP’s frustration as it is losing the Odisha battle this time too.

This was stated by BJD spokesperson while addressing a press conference here today evening.

He lambasted, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Odisha today and from his speeches it is clear that his main objective to come to Odisha was to try and motivate his frustrated, dejected and depressed party leaders and cadre that have lost their self-confidence after the massive debacle of the BJP in the first and second phases.”

“With the third phase bringing in huge success for the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), PM Modi tried to motivate his demotivated cadre. The double engine of the BJP is failing miserably everywhere. Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab are examples of such derailed double engines of BJP,” the BJD leader fumed, adding, “In Gujarat also people are unhappy with BJP.”

The BJD spokesperson also ridiculed, “In the last five years, BJP has lost the faith of the people and across the country the BJP is losing. This fear of loss coupled with the demotivated BJP leaders and cadre were the only reason for PM Modi's visit to try and make a semblance of a fight, which anyways the BJP is losing rather miserably in 2019 and the Biju Janata Dal and Hon'ble CM Naveen Patnaik are set to come back to serve the people of Odisha for a record fifth time with the blessings of 4.5 crore people of the state.”

Earlier in the day, Modi, while addressing a gathering at Kendrapada’s Barua ground, mentioned, “BJD exit from Odisha and BJP’s entry is sure shot. I would like to warn that Naveen Babu you are going out. It’s a foregone conclusion. Now the people of Odisha are in an angry mood to throw you out. Now you can’t be saved.”
