Ganjam: The decomposed body of a physics lecturer was found hanging from ceiling in his room in Konkorada village's Manik Nagar area on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Kumar Bhuyan (30) of Dosigaon village of Bhadrak. He was employed as Physics lecturer in Konkorada Science College in Ganjam and was living in a rented house.

As per reports, the owner of the house had seen Bhuyan three days back. When the milkman reached the house this morning, he detected a foul smell. He tried knocking the door but no one answered.

Soon after that, cops were informed. Tehsildaar Gopinath Kuwanr reached the spot and broke into the house. Bhuyan was found hanging from the ceiling with a cloth. While his family members were informed over phone, police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.

The reason behind extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
