Over 21 Kg Ganja Seized From Rayagada Railway Station

Rayagada: Around 21.6 kg of ganja worth over Rs 1 lakh was seized by Railway Protection Force (RPF) during a raid at Rayagada Railway Station in the district on Saturday.

Two persons identified as Sibaram Pradhan of Aska in Ganjam district and Dhirendra Agarwal of Madhya Pradesh have been arrested in this connection.

Reportedly, they were sourcing the ganja from Koraput and selling it in Rourkela. It was during an inspection by a special team of RPF that the duo was nabbed from platform number 1 of the railway station.

RPF sources informed that while further probe into the matter has been initiated, the case will be handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP).
