Bhubaneswar: Odisha Student Leaders Forum on Tuesday challeged the police for alleged vilation of human rights in connection to youth leader Prakash Tripathy's arrest.

Prakash was arrested on March 9, six days after an ugly brawl took place at Saheed Nagar police station. Two police personnel were injured when a group of miscreants attacked Saheed Nagar police station on March 3.

According to OSLF, the Saheed Nagar police resorted to an excess by forcing Prakash to hold a slate showing the IPC Sections imposed in his case.

"We will take up the matter with appropriate authorities. The police have not acted with propriety in Prakash's case," a representative of OSLF said.
