Bhubaneswar: World-renowned Odisha based sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik created a mesmerizing sand sculpture on the beaches of Puri to spread awareness regarding tuberculosis (TB) on this World Tuberculosis Day.

Padmashree awardee Pattnaik was also announced as the new TB Ambassador of Odisha by REACH, a non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against TB for almost two decades in association with the State TB Cell, Odisha.

“Tuberculosis continues to be the biggest health problem in India. It is preventable and curable. We just need to create awareness regarding the disease.

As a TB ambassador, Shri Pattnaik will help raise the profile of TB at both the state and national levels, and will make TB more visible in the public domain.
